Realistic decision. Choose to be happy or be right?

It must be the human ego to be smart and to be right all the time. Our smartness is bounded by the vast information from the years of experience, combined with the knowledge that we had learned in our life journey. That smart substance is hard fused in our mind as part of our belief system and values. Thus, agreeing with the external perspective, at some point, is in conflict with ours.

He died a billionaire at 56yrs of Pancreatic Cancer and here are his last words on the sick bed:

“I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes my life is an epitome of success. 
However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to. At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death. Smith’s have published several great books. The Top 10 distinctions between entrepreneurs and employee is an easy read with great insight. Insight about the thought process that each successful people must have. However, it depends on your life experience and interpretation too.

The profound key points resonated with my belief. Yet, it reiterates my personal belief of living a purposeful life. Some of his thought really worth to put in additional thinking time to fully sponged in the essence.
