Presenting the Lion Dance @ Esplanade, Penang.

Apparently, this is the Dragon.

Special one

Ain’t know what this thing is called. Very hard to take this stuff in action, he is very agile.

Small kids doing big guy’s stuff.

Getting Ready

Ready to dance.

As high as the building.

Good eye contact with the lion.

Leaping high.

Angry Lion.

The ending stance.

** Note: There will be weekly event at The Esplanade every Saturday night.

Nice…….errr….. what noise?

BTW, the gold orange one is the northern style of lion (北獅). The lions we usually see is southern style (南獅).

I once saw in Astro programme, that our lion dance champion (关圣公) took a trip to china (exact location forgot liao) to learn the acrobatic moves from a northern lion dance team.
