Very special street Opera event organized by Georgetown Festival on the month of July. I never see such an event before Lim Guan Eng take over Penang. Great small idea to promote Penang to the eye of the world. Good Job ~~!

This is the first time I joined Scott Kelby’s worldwide photo walk. I put quite a high hope that this will be a fun one but it turn out not as what I had hope. Anyway, this is some of the photos that I took. Gosh, I just realize that this post is late for 1 month

I think I got this shot during last year Penang Heritage Day.

This is the outdoor portrait photography session with Sze Yen.

Early in the morning, we went to Queen Elizabeth II that located beside Penang Jetty. Sze Yen come clad in all white except for her shoe and belt.

The second venue is Penang Peranakan Mansion. This time, Sze Yen change to lovely pink colored dress.

Special thanks to Thompson for organizing this session and introduced this lovely model to us. Having a great time with Thomson, Psykit, Lawrence and Aloysius with all the smile and laugh starting as early as 8am till late evening.

Been to Gua Tempurung few weeks back. Gua Tempurung is one of the attraction in Gopeng, Perak. Gopeng is the place where I often drop by to get my lunch/dinner on my journey to KL. The food is nice yet so cheap (as compared to Penang). OK, Cut out the food *_* Actually, I wasn’t really my idea to go to Gua Tempurung but all my other colleagues wanted to go there so I just need to follow them. Picture above is the scenery inside of the cave and the subsequent photos are mainly in the cave too. The condition of the cave is dark, hot and humid, and a little bit dusty i think.

Human-made-walkway, it is a bit slippery though. You might need to be careful and watch your steps.

I am fascinated by the blue and green ray projected through the small cracks on the wall, they are just beauty of mother nature.

Walking in and out the “dry path” takes around 1 hour. I spend about 2 hours outside of the cave looking at the lake. Enjoyable journey with durian stop by the roadside and followed by seafood at Bukit Tambun. Hope you guys enjoy the photos posted for another my another travel post.

Hat Yai (หาดใหญ่) which also known as Haad Yai or Had Yai is a place located at the southern Thailand near the border of Malaysia. As the place is near to Malaysia, it only took me about 3 hours by bus (that exclude the horrible 1 hour waiting for immigration clearance) to reach this small town. The first destination is to Songkhla which well known for its Mermaid Status located at Samila Beach (แหลมสมิหลา). But, our guide pronounce this as “Si Mi Lan Beach” which crack out a loud laughter among all Penangites in the bus. That does not sound like a “good” word in Hockien

Famous grilled chicken. Trust me, this one taste better than it look.

Variety of Thais “Lok Lok”, actually this is quite nice and cheap (only 10 baht).

I spend a total of 1 hour hunting and waiting for food instead of get a peak on the famous mermaid (photo here). Thanks to the tour guide who lure us to his so-called seafood restaurant nearby leaving us with no choice but to feast on it as we had been starving for nearly 2 hours in the bus. The next destination is the Floating Market situated at Tambon Klonghae in Hat Yai district. Again, the food there is so nice.

Look at the pretty girl hunger for black, yellow and ugly bug. Thailand should be one “BUG FREE” country. They not only fried and eat all the bugs, but they also make a living from the bugs.

Look at the Thai promoting his delicacies. This don’t look really delicious for me. By the way, the scorpion taste like shit and it don’t really smell good too.. ** Oh ya, I get a bit of it (thanks to psykit for sharing his bugs)

Bumper to bumper at the market is a very common scene in Hat Yai.

A view from my hotel (Diamond Plaza Hotel Hat Yai) room. Room condition is just so-so and the location is not that strategic compared to Hotel Novotel or Lee Garden Plaze Hotel which located at the heart Hat Yai and the night market just at its door step. Should only consider this 2 hotels for my future visit.

Had a wonderful yet short shooting with Yee May (Mincci Chin) on one lovely Saturday together with psykit and Joseph. Here is some of the photos taken before it started to rain. She look kind of natural with lovely smile although this is her first shooting experience.

Psykit and I were helping my cousin ( Grace ) to take photos of her model for her make up examination last Friday. Her model is Kristy Loo who is the model in white gown. Besides that, we had the opportunity to shoot for another 2 lovely girls. They are Elsa which dressed in flowerish purple and Wan Wei in deep blue gown.
