Inexperienced fashion show organiser? Too many shadows on the models, I wouldn’t enjoy taking photos like that. Need to blast through with off camera flash, and hope that it’s powerful enough to match the spotlights.
The last photo is the perfect example of bad lighting. Highlights at the bottom due to the spotlights, no mid-level lighting and a little too strong overhead light, creating shadows at the neck.
Even Nikon’s Active D-Lighting cannot help in this situation. LOL!
never been to a fashion show but I’ve encountered similiar situation in a gig. Organized by amateur, so lighting is amateur standard. In the end, I told them to switch off all the light except for one huge performer light.
You must be cursing at the lighting! Multiple spotlights from below, creating harsh shadows
Yeah … Told them that the light is not right.

Hope that they will fix the lighting … I never bring my flash along that day, just with my camera only.
Did you go for any fashion event?

Hope they will learn from their past mistake
